Role: Store Rendering, Layout Design, Illustration
Partnered with my mentor and senior designer to concept, pitch, and design a retail activation layout for Dick’s Sporting Goods’ House of Sport locations.
Working closely with the client team, we developed a detailed in-store plan. The goal was to design an engaging and functional product display that aligned with both the brand’s aesthetic and store logistics. Our process involved multiple strategy meetings to align on the client’s goals, followed by hand sketched concepts and digital mockups built to scale using exact rack, shelving, and table dimensions provided by the client. After pitching our initial layout ideas, we refined the plan through collaborative feedback rounds and coordinated with the marketing team to ensure all materials could be produced within the client’s budget and logistical constraints. Once approved, we rendered multiple layout variations for different store configurations.

This project strengthened my understanding of spatial design and the importance of detail when creativity meets real-world execution. It taught me how to design not just for aesthetics, but for physical functionality, bringing a brand experience to life within the walls of a store. Below is the presentation deck we created and presented to the client.
